Substance Use Nurse Service
The Substance Nurse Service offers specialist advice and treatment towards recovery for those with dependence to alcohol or drugs.
This is a nurse-led service (with input from Consultant Psychiatrists and Primary Care Doctors) for those who have dependence to alcohol or drugs (whether prescribed or otherwise) and would like to access treatment towards recovery. The service is available Monday to Thursday from 9am-5pm and Friday from 9am-4.30pm, and promotes healthy living and reduction from harm, working alongside other agencies to the benefit of individuals and families.
Appointments can be held across NHS Western Isles sites. Referrals to the service can be made by GPs. An appointment will then be provided afterwards.
